Top Award for Martin & Co Leeds City & York

Husband and wife team Mike and Sue Lambert, who together own and run the Leeds City and York franchises of the UK’s leading specialist lettings agent Martin & Co, have got plenty to celebrate after they were named winners of a top award at the company’s AGM.

Beating off stiff competition from across Martin & Co’s 130+ nationwide network, Mike and Sue carried off the Best Franchise Brand Ambassadors title in recognition of their consistent and innovative approach to the marketing and promotion of the Martin & Co brand during 2007.

They were presented with their award by the company’s founder and chairman, Richard Martin, at a glittering award ceremony held at the luxury Bosworth Hall Hotel in Warwickshire.

“Despite mixed media reports about the property market, the less romantic world of lettings can take a more relaxed view of such media speculation compared to the more volatile world of house sales”. So says Michael Lambert, Managing Director of the UK’s No. 1 Letting Agency, Martin & Co (Leeds City).

Recently commenting on the lettings industry and the forecast for 2008 Mr Lambert predicted, “If sales volumes and values become depressed then the ever-growing army of hardened residential investors will take full advantage to increase stock to satisfy growing demand with an exploding population – probably much greater than the government is letting on – and increasing demand from individuals to invest for the future, the growth in lettings is still in its early days and the likelihood of significant future growth in the sector appears certain.”

Property ownership combines the benefits of rental income and capital growth; but it’s important to choose the right property. Buying a house or flat as an investment is very different from buying a home.
